The Safari GMT features a comfortable 40mm stainless steel case with an impressive 200m of water resistance, ensuring it stands up to any conditions. The “caller”-style GMT complication provides a means of independently tracking a second time zone through the watch’s fixed dual-tone 24-hour bezel. The Maasai Mara and Serengeti models both feature “California” dials, with Roman numerals from 10:00 to 2:00 and Arabic numerals from 4:00 to 8:00. The rich blues and greens of the Maasai Mara and Serengeti form a rich contrast from the Banff model, with its large date at 3:00, Arabic numerals at 6:00, 9:00, and 12:00, and additional 24-hour track on the inside of the dial. Powering the Safari GMT is the Seiko NH34A, visible through the watch’s sapphire exhibition caseback. Each caseback features randomized artwork of one of four indigenous animals. A Japanese-made automatic movement, it features an independent “caller” GMT complication, 24 jewels, hacking, hand winding, small seconds, a frequency of 21,600 beats per hour, and a power reserve of at least 41 hours.
